Cookie policy

Last updated 7 October 2026

A cookie is a small file a website stores in your browser. The law lets a site use the ones it strictly needs without asking; anything else needs your consent. We only use the ones we strictly need, which is why you will not see a cookie banner here.

This website

unitedpos.co.uk sets no cookies and loads nothing from other companies: no analytics, no advertising, no social media buttons. Our fonts are served from our own site.

A restaurant's ordering page

When a guest orders or books on a restaurant's own UnitedPos page, the basket is kept in the browser's local storage so it is not lost while they choose. Nothing is shared with anyone else. It is strictly necessary for the order.

The till app

The till keeps its data in an encrypted database on the device so it can work offline. That is part of the app, not a cookie, and is covered by our privacy policy and data processing terms.

If this changes

If we ever want a cookie that is not strictly necessary, we will ask first and update this page. Questions: info@upayments.co.uk.
